Workplace

Investing in staff wellbeing is not just a financial move but a strategic one.

Mental illness ranks as the leading cause of sick leave in high-income countries, making proactive support cost-effective in the long run.

Presenteeism poses significant risks and financial burdens for workplaces. Combatting this issue through staff training is a path to both individual and business prosperity.

Mental illness is universal, it can affect anyone and often remains a challenging topic to address openly. Many people experience challenges of stress that if not recognized or managed early can be more harmful.

Consider this:

How many staff do you have? With 1 in 5 individuals experiencing mental illness annually, recognizing and mitigating psychosocial risk is essential.

Are you equipped to support staff facing mental health challenges?

Do you know the right words to say and those to avoid? Are you familiar with professional support avenues?

If a staff member had a physical ailment -Would you support them? Mental health deserves the same consideration!

Do you conduct regular workplace physical first aid? Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) equips individuals with skills at all levels and can create culture change. With these essential skills they can be adapted to colleagues or even a stranger.

Skills must be learned; “you don’t know what you don’t know”

Training can lower absenteeism, aid early detection and accelerate appropriate professional assistance.

MHFA provides knowledge of evidence-based strategies aimed to reduce employee stress. There is emphasis on self-care plans and shared responsibilities between employers and staff.

Individuals affected by mental illness feel more supported and staff gain confidence in offering assistance.

Our training suits all staff levels, offering accreditation and certificates of completion.
